Watford Ladies Under-19 Development team celebrated the end of a successful season with a 2-1 victory over Regents Park Rangers.

Sian Fiskin opened the scoring after just seven minutes when she slotted a through ball from Sofie Georgiou low to the goalkeeper’s right.

There was hope for Regents Park when they equalised midway through the half but Watford fought back.

However, despite creating a number of chances, it was not until the 85th minute Fiskin sealed the victory as her shot bounced over the keeper and into the net.

The Under-17 Wasps had to come from behind to beat Hitchin Belles 2-1.

Hitchin capitalised on poor marking to take the lead after ten minutes but a long-distance lob from Carly Gilbey evened the score before half time.

The second half was a closely-fought battle but Watford’s tenacity paid off when Kelly Asojo’s pace put her onto Gilbey’s through ball just in time for her to beat the Hitchin keeper.

Watford’s Under-15 Hornets beat Tottenham 1-0 in their League Cup semi-final and will now face Hitchin Belles in the final next month.

Olivia Syson netted for Watford but robust performances by Keira Thomas-Moore and Sinead Carroll meant they shared the player of the match accolade.

The Under-13 Hornets secured a place in the final of the League Shield by beating Bedwell Rangers 8-3.

There were hat-tricks for Ciara Purdue and Charli O’Connor, along with singles for Josie Layton and Sasha Williams.

Watford’s Under-12s fought hard but were ultimately beaten 2-0 in extra-time of the League Shield by Harpenden Colts.

As the Hornets drove forward late in the second period of extra-time, the Colts caught them on the break and there was a second for Harpenden just minutes later.
