An injury-hit Watford Ladies Under-18 Wasps side recovered from a goal down to beat Hampstead 2-1.
With a number of absentees, manager Mick Walshe moved defender Julia Waller from defence to attack and she scored a fine brace to seal the win.
The newly-promoted Under-16 Wasps went down 4-1 to a well-organised Hitchin Belles side. New signing Jenny Hughes scored the consolation.
Two late goals saw the Under-14 Harts drop two points to draw 3-3 with Harvesters. Neve Mayes scored a hat-trick for Harts.
It was also honours even for the Under-14 Hornets, who drew 2-2 at Charlton Athletic. A strike from Charlotte Bailey and a tremendous curling effort from Josie Layton pegged back the home side.
The Under-12 Hornets went on to lose 5-1 despite taking the lead against Hendon on their Capital Girls’ League debut. Bliss Murray netted for Watford.
The Under-12 Harts also made their debut in the nine-a-side format but despite a good team effort went down 2-0 to Hitchin Belles.
