Watford Ladies Under-12 Hornets reached the Hertfordshire FA 9v9 Challenge Cup Final by beating Stevenage Borough Juniors 2-0.
The opening goal arrived after ten minutes. Watford won a corner and Casey Evans' inviting delivery was met by the head of Kayra Karakus.
The Lady Hornets deservedly doubled their lead in the second half. Neave Wilson and Hannah Perkins combined before feeding T'yana Nee-Chambers to surge forward and lash home.
In the Capital Girls League the Under-16 Hornets endured a tough afternoon, going down 6-1 against high-flying Reading.
Meanwhile, the Under-12 Harts lost their Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League Shield semi-final 1-0 to Hoddesdon Owls.
The Under-18 Wasps lost 4-1 against Whetstone Wanderers with Kelly Asojo netting.
The Under-16 Harts went down 3-1 at Bedwell Rangers, Emily Humphrey on target.
