Watford Ladies suffered a 5-0 loss to Yeovil Town in the FA Women’s Super League 2 in a top versus bottom clash.

Sarah Wiltshire netted twice while Nicola Cousins, Helen Bleazard and Atlanta Primus also scored to ensure Yeovil recorded a sixth victory in their last eight games.

The Lady Hornets boss Kate Rowson admits there are some positives to take away from the game but more is needed to beat strong opposition.

She added: “I’m not happy, we are always looking for a 90-minute performance and it seemed like almost every time they attacked they scored.

“There were a lot of errors in there that we need to work on and we should have been better than that.

“We had really good patches, but you can’t have good patches in this league, if you are only good in patches you lose 5-0.

“You have to play for 90 minutes, not just in parts of the game and that’s the most disappointing thing.

“That’s what we did against Everton and we know that we can do that, if we did that today we would have been able to get a better result.”

The Lady Glovers opened the scoring on 19 minutes when Wiltshire tapped home from close range and Yeovil doubled their league six minutes before the break.

Cousins prodded home after being teed up by Primus and after the restart, Primus slotted home when she was sent clear by Danielle Carlton.

Yeovil increased the deficit to four when Bleazard hit the target and Wiltshire finally got her second in the 63rd minute.

Watford Ladies stay at the bottom of the table on four points with a minus 17 difference.
