Watford Ladies Youth Development Squad progressed to the quarter-finals of the Herts Women’s Cup with a narrow 2-1 victory over Garston Ladies.
The game headed into extra-time where Amy Longhurst saw the holders through after the 90 minutes had finished 1-1.
In the Captial Girls’ League, the second-placed Under-17 Hornets ran riot against bottom-of-the-table Limehouse Girls Youth, winning 24-0.
Linda Afuakwah (5), Anaisa Harney (4), hat-tricks from Liv Syson and Angel Frost, a brace from Rebecca Dowdall and Chloe Dinsey and further goals from Sinead Carroll, Rebecca Evans, Chloe Fletcher, Lucy Hollamby and Eleanor Lord sealed the emphatic win.
The Under-17/18 Harts edged out Bishop Stortford in an 11-goal thriller in the Herts Girls’Partnership League. Four goals from Mikhela Treon and further strikes from Sophia Citro and Anna Beaman saw Harts win 6-5.
The Under-13 Harts were involved in a high-scoring game against Garston Ladies Wildcats which ended 4-3 to Watford. Carys Harvet (2), Lucy D’Amore and Mia Brown scored.
