Watford Ladies Under-13 Hornets remain top of the Capital Girls League after a 3-1 victory over St Joseph’s Youth ’88.

It took just three minutes for the Hornets to open the scoring when defender Hannah Perkins, operating up front in the first half, netted her first of the season.

St Joseph’s equalised through a long-range effort but their opponents regained the lead through a fine solo effort from T’yana Nee-Chambers.

Following sustained pressure, Watford added a third in the second half when Catherine Reeves’ whipped in cross found the net.

Sophia Citro and Mikhela Treon were on target again for the Under-17/18 Harts in their 2-2 draw with Harpenden Colts, consolidating Watford’s position of third place in Division Two.

The Under-15 Hornets convincingly saw off the Under-15 Harts 5-0 in an intra-club clash in Division One of the Herts Girls Partnership League.

Ciara Purdue netted in the first five minutes, Sasha Williams soon added a second and a fine half-volley from Rubie Smith made it 3-0 at the break.

Williams and Purdue both added second goals for the Hornets.

Lily Hanlon’s hat-trick helped the Under-13 Harts to a 4-1 win against Bedwell Rangers Stars. Carys Harvey also scored.

Grace Blow and Danielle Collier scored for the Under-10 Harts in their home match against Bedwell Rangers Blues, while the Under-9 Harts played some impressive football at Bedwell Rangers Dragons and scored through Olivia Bueno Nicholson (2) and Charlotte Grosso.
