Despite having only nine players to their name, Watford Academy Girls Under-16s eased to a comfortable 4-0 win over Hampstead Pearls.

Holly Reid and Danni Ransom struck in the first half as Watford made their numerical disadvantage seem insignificant.

They continued to control the game after the break and further goals from Lucy Bolitho and Courtney McNamara completed the victory.

Watford’s Under-14s were also in goalscoring mood and beat St Josephs 4-1 thanks to some impressive finishing.

First-half goals from Chiara Lape and Tai Wilson put Watford 2-0 up at the break.

They extended their lead to 4-0, scoring from two corners in the second period before the Saints grabbed a late consolation.

At Under-12 level, the goal-frenzy continued with Watford beating Barnet 14-0 in a display of ruthless finishing.

Shakira Kafero-Roberts was undoubtedly the star of the game as she scored five goals in the win to take the plaudits.

She was not alone in showing a lethal edge in front of goal and the goals were spread out among Watford’s number.

Hannah Luxton could also be happy with her exploits as she helped herself to a hat-trick, while Charlotte Foster and Hannah Rostek bagged braces.
