Injury-time goal denies Watford victory (From Watford Observer)

Decent point away against a good side on the rise. Sounds like we were very poor second half so draw is probably fair. Can't see anything other than a Watford win on Tuesday. Cemented in the play-off by Christmas.

Didn't attend, but by all accounts we didn't keep posession very well and Blackpool deserved the draw.
Good experience for Battochio and yet another game under his belt for Chalobah. Hopefully Abdi will be back soon as well as Hogg after his suspension.
We have plenty of depth to our squad, which will definitely benefit us in the New Year and we are in a good position to push towards the play-offs

From three counties sounded like we simply didn't play well enough and dominate possession like we have been. Oh well it happens, always glad to get a draw away rather than lose. Let's hammer Wednesday on Tuesday and get back in the hunt!

It hurts after conceding such a late goal but it could have easily have been 3 points dropped after our second half display. We are going to experience games like this on our push for promotion but we are now five games unbeaten. COYH.

Blackburn, Cardiff, Ipswich, Blackpool, could be more. How many lost points down to door late defending. Defence has been immense, but it's truly a letdown these last min goals.

Hopefully Abdi back, as midfield three at end, were 17,18,19 years old. Needed that calmness on the ball.

Hopefully Hogg/abdi/both back for Tues.

Would have taken point before, however feels like a loss, oh well, undefeated Nov so far!

We were very good most of first half, they dominated second. We are 11 th and two places off play off places. We badly missed Abdi and we need a captain to galvanise but a point at Blackpool is a good point.
Fair play to fellow Horns who actually attended and supported to the end.

Although disappointing after being 2up its still a point at a tough venue. How did Anya and Battochio play? Oh we'll KJ can take manager of the month and we will push into the play offs over Christmas/ new year.

Battachio, good first half, brilliant ball for first goal. Second half, Blackpool were so in ascendancy it's fair to say they dominated us in all areas.

We have though conceded a lot of last minute goals but it is nearly always the sign of a lack of professionalism or an ever changing "not quite gelled" team and we've suffered from both in the past, at the moment emerging from the latter. Counter to that, an incredibly high percentage of goals are scored in the last 10 mins and we sometimes forget the times it has happened positively for us, like at Crystal Palace for instance. Yes, a shame but I would have taken a draw before it started. Pathetic? Of course it wasn't.

BBC site says 17 on target attempts for them against our 4 and We only had 37% possession so a good point hard won.

The midfield needed more presence in the second half. Battocchio started well but seemed to fade; maybe he should have been replaced instead of Yeats.

Could it be that we aren't making the most logical subs through the need to give everyone in an overlarge squad some game time?

Dissaponting to concede a late goal and hopefully we can take the first half positives in to the game on Tuesday.

No that want the issue. You could not have picked out any from ten who played well second half.
Yeates started very well then the I am Maradonna delusion be set him. I think it was more down to how well Blackpool played and sometimes that happens.
Chabolah was strangely off the boil.

How fickle we are, but yes bring back Abdi and let Battachio and Murray have a run?

I would've had FF on fo Vydra before Yeates was subbed and then we might've worked a bit of possession instead of the backs to the wall stuff (though you have to give a good Blackpool side some credit). Not so worried because Abdi and Hogg will do better and a point keeps us in touch.
On another note, I wish Malky would hurry up with his annual collapse before a gap opens up.

It sounded like battachio had a Bad game in midfield! I was listening to the radio and we lost the game in midfield. Sometimes you just have to load the midfield with warriors and that is where Murray, Bauban, Hogg, Almen and Eustace would control the game. Today midfield was too young and inexperienced and today will not be the last time that we lose control of the midfield battle field unless we put some muscle and control in there

What a plonk*r! We are so ahead of schedule at the moment it is amazing. A draw at Blackpool is an excellent result and with Yeates being the experience in midfield and the being subbed for another 18 year old (3 in midfield), it was hardly surprising they equalised. It was always on the cards with so many midfield injuries and Hogg suspended.

Ludicrous comment. Not worthy. I wasn't there but listened all afternoon on H Player. Yes we let slip a 2 goal advantage but we're still getting our sh*t together and were without 2 influencial game players in Abdi & Eustace. Reckon it might be you that needs to grow a pair fella. Yeah it's pants letting a goal in so late in the game but when you think about it properly at the end of the day we still have a good unbeaten run going and we are just a few points from play-offs and still got the likes of Abdi, Hogg, Eustace, Mungi Bai and Bauben to come back into the squad! Seen loads of negative comments on twitter and facebook about how 'we always throw it way'. These pillocks do my head in. Yes it is always gutting to lose points in the last few minutes but they need to consider the following:

1) We have won more points in the last minutes of games than we have lost: (Palace, Huddersfield and Peterborough for; Blackpool, Blackburn and Ipswich against) - discounting Cardiff as we did not throw it away, we simply couldn't hold on with a 2 man deficit.

2) We are unbeaten in Nov, having played 5 very tough fixtures

3) 2-0 up is always a dangerous scoreline. It's a game of two halves.

4) our aim this year is to finish above 11th

5) We are still jelling as a team and finding our feet.

6) we were missing key players today

Basically you win some, you lose some. Judging by the stats we were **** lucky to get a point anyway!

I said to myself before the game today that if we won today I would start dreaming of automatic promotion. I guess the performance showed we've still lots to learn and lots of room for improvement, so I've crashed back down to earth after flying high at 3.21pm this afternoon!

We have to remember at the beginning of this season most of us dared not dream of going up this season and it's easy to get lost in the excitement and become impatient so fingers crossed we can push. However, who knows it might actually be better in the long term for us to miss out on promotion this year and keep on building a massively solid team next year, rip the division apart next season, giving young players like Hoban, Murray, Vydra, Forestieri, Battochio etc more experience and time to get even better and maybe we will stand a better chance in the prem the year after (if we make it up of course!!).

Not long back from the game,definitely a game of two halves.The result was a fair one over 90 minutes,but whatever Zola said to the team at half time,I hope he never says it again to them.

I was there today. First half great. 2nd half, Blackpool were the better team. Vydra should have come off sooner. Deeney great, defending & attacking. Yeates trying hard. Forest on too late to be effective. Pudil not at his best. Fans stopped singing in second half. Lucky to get a point.

Tired as just home.......for all my comments see lutondown....Hall and Hoben both had chances to clear the ball before both goals today. 2nd half was like watching us at derby but to be fair tom ince for them was outstanding and gave pudil a torrid time. Very good point anyway and if we can get 3 at sheffield wed would be a great return.

A good point overall but these injury time goals are becoming a bit repetitive.

Kicked the cat, kids, wife, Thrown a few plates at the wall... Zola out, sack the board... Come back safe cracker... You would never have let us only get a draw at Blackpool.. The embarrassment of it... Burnt my shirt as well.

We’re a great club, we need to remember that. Zola’s doing a good job and the best of luck to him. However, we have a mentality that taking anything from a match is a ‘good result’. Being 2-0 up, coming under pressure and then drawing isn’t a good result. Accept it. Good teams know how to handle situations like this; even when they concede one they either play the game out or hang on. We don’t. I wasn’t there yesterday, glad not to have been, 2-1 after 50 minutes was an obvious bottle job by the team.

Given our record for throwing good results away, can any of you really say you were surprised by the equaliser? Genuinely?

As for the ‘good result’ comments – I’d be devastated to see you on my team; you’re the antonym (opposite..) of ‘ambition’ and ‘own a pair’.

Equally rubbishy post as your first one, pal (pick the bad grammer out of that). Shows that you're not prepared to conceed that we're still a team in the making. Yes, we give up leads and sometimes, seemingly too easily but there again, we also fight when we're down and sometimes, especially under GZ, break through to win matches from behind. Are we a "good team" yet? Probably not in the full and consistent sense of the word but we're getting there and that's what counts over the full length of the season which, unless you haven't noticed, is only 18 games in. If you don't think that a draw is a pretty good result up there at Bloomfield Rd then you levels of expectation are far too fickle.

Given our record for throwing good results away, can any of you really say you were surprised by the equaliser? Genuinely?

As for the ‘good result’ comments – I’d be devastated to see you on my team; you’re the antonym (opposite..) of ‘ambition’ and ‘own a pair’.

So I'll cede grammatical superiority to you, but then it's easy to be a wordsmith from the comfort of your armchair.
This is a very young team, and no one likes winning more than me, but I'm prepared to fore sake my natural impatience as this potentially brilliant team develops.
Bottled it? No they never, overrun perhaps, but a good Blackpool team had a massive say in that.
Now I'm off to buy a copy of English Grammar for dummies, so I can put the question to you correctly..we're you there?
By the way I wasn't berating you for not being so, but sometimes you don't see the full picture from a few paper reports.

I'd just retreat from this if I was you. I think there's some show jumping on later....

Have not been able to get to many games this season but I am at a windy and wet Blackpool for the weekend. To many beers last night at the tower bar prevented the brain to coordinate any sense or logic
So, to the morning after and my thought provoking comments on our display.
As mentioned on a few post's, we started brightly first half lots of possession and good movement for the first goal. Troy took the second well and was a constant thorn up front.
I was looking forward to seeing young Battachio and he did not disappoint but needs game time to adapt to the Championship, he has a good touch though. I felt that Chalobah was not really up for a battle and was caught in possession to often.
In all the games I have seen this
season I have been surprised at the way Yeats has adapted, not blessed with pace but does put in some good balls with a good right peg.
At the back I once again think that Pudil gets into good positions but has a tendency to waste the final ball and if he only had a right foot! Fitz Hall commanding but faded later in the game when we were bombarded!
I like the look of Ekstrand and Young TH looks a good prospect, comfortable in possession.
My only real criticism is for Alumunia, he does a lot of shouting but takes his eye off the ball to much for my liking and nearly got caught out again with a cross or shot from Ince.
All in all the future looks promising.
Now off for a stroll down the Windy/wet Golden Mile and a few beers.

Would of taken a draw before the match but it was so predictable after conceding the first that they would get a second. It seems the young players lose focus in the second half and can't be bothered to fight for results. I also think Zola is slow with his subs and is not reactionary to what is happening on the pitch. That is all.
