Watford only have around 2,000 tickets left for FA Cup tie with Manchester City

Watford have only 2,000 tickets left after selling out the Upper Tier of their allocation at the Etihad Stadium for their FA Cup tie in January.

Around 4,000 tickets have now been sold for the game against Manchester City with seats only available in the Lower Tier left.

Watford had already sold 2,500 tickets by Friday and after the home game with Hull City a further 1,000 tickets were purchased.

The Hornets were given 6,000 tickets for the game.

minimum 15% as per FA regs ...
If we do sell all ours there maybe some home tickets unsold but that's obviously a last resort. Naturally you'll need to bite your tongue and sit on your hands when we score .... might be hard when the third goes in.

The record attendance at the Etihad is 47,435, 15% of that is 7115. We've been short changed.
We would not sell 7,000 away tickets and there is segregation seats lost as well between both sets of fans.

Really excited by this one, will be a good test on the pitch and hopefully a good old knees up in the seats, might even pick up a few quid in coins up there!!!

I do hope that this does not prove a distraction to the players though beforehand or afterwards.

We are in with a good shout of promotion which has to remain the main focus. This is just a bit of fun with no pressure whatsoever.

No better time to play them though.

Looks like I may be sitting in with the City fans at this rate. The up side is that I won't be kept in for an hour after the game and will be on my 2nd pint in Manchester whilst the supporters in the away end are still listening to non stop Oasis over the Tanoy. Some positive posts on the City Boards commenting on the good WFC sales and looking forward to the atmosphere that should be created.

The only coins you will pick up will be Euros. No use to them any more :-)

In the event the relevant person sees this site, a Watford supermarket has your lost season ticket in its lost property department. You'll know who you are and where it is!

Apparently we can’t be allocated any more tickets, so looks like I will be sitting on my hands with my glob firmly shut (for a change)

Well at the weekend it went up from £45 to over £80 in a very shot time. I would think now it will be more. Good news is that it will be less than £4 quid for me.

No, not the way the ground is set up. The only way is to lessen the "no mans land" between supporters and I can't see that happening. Mat be wrong but don't think so.

I wonder if they do concessions for seniors. I'll check, otherwise it's another long car journey for me. Can't be any worse than Blackpool though!
