Gianfranco Zola full of praise for Watford strikers Troy Deeney and Matej Vydra following 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest

Gianfranco Zola praised Watford’s strike partnership of Troy Deeney and Matej Vydra after the duo scored all three goals during the Hornets’ 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
“They combine very well, tThey really have an excellent understanding,” Zola said. “When you see the first two goals, it shows they work for each other and they display a very good sign of understanding.”
Vydra has now scored ten goals in his last five league starts and when Zola was asked about his display, he replied: “I am delighted with his performance. I also thought Troy Deeney was exceptional today again.
“The point is that whilst the two strikers have been fantastic in front of the goal, I think from the manager’s point of view they have been even better in the way they work for the team; helping all the time.
“If you see their movements, they are always dropping into midfield to make it difficult for the opposition to find spaces. That makes a difference for the team.”
On Watford’s performance as a whole, Zola added: “It looked very good to me too. It was a tough game. I think you look at the result and might have thought it was easy but it wasn’t.
“What made a difference was the attitude and the performances of my players today. It was a top performance. It won’t be easy for anybody to come here and win the way we did today.”

Our bench of Geijo, Forestieri, Hall, Hogg, Yates and Eustace proberbly the best bench in the Championship this season!
That's without Neuton, Murray, Mugi Bai etc etc!
I hope the board can pull it out of the bag and get Abdi, Vydra, Ekstrand and Pudil signed up on permanent deals as they are quality players and have transformed our team so much!

Wonderful stuff!! The days of Barnes and Blisset, Reilly and Johnston are returning!! I think it is still quite hard for us to accept just what a wonderful season this has been so far, we have true leadership who understand both the business and footballing side of the game, a humble, wonderful manager and a team that really does seem to be enjoying itself. Great times indeed!

Looking forwards, do you think GFZ will rotate Tuesday and start Hall, Eustace, Hogg, Forestieri and Geijo for example ?

Strikers are on fire so don't rest them (you surely don't rest a player who as scored 10 in 5 starts!). Maybe a couple of changes in Midfield - Pudil and Battochio should be fresh so I reckon maybe Anya for Cassetti; and Hogg for Chalobah. Vydra, Deeney and Abdi to be subbed if all going well in 2nd half to keep them fresh for Bolton.

Two games with clean sheets and six points yet the day spoilt by the events at Norwich.
Maybe Zola would grant them a friendly so we can put them in their place and start educating Duxbury in how to fill the Vic.

LEAVE THE FORWARD LINE ALONE at least , you say rest for the potentially tougher games , very complacent and i am sure Bristol City would love to hear that ! wasn't Charlton one of those less tougher games on paper !! SORRY Keith you are very wrong in my opinion , that said lets hope we get the result Tuesday just treat every game as the most important

If there is to be a change then maybe Eustace starts instead of Bottachio and maybe Hall starts instead of Doyley?
This is just to give them game time if so? However I would like to see the same line up as the last two games have been world class! Get three up and then change it bit by bit!

Eastsussexhornet he can not be 'transferred' by the end of January. He is on a season long loan and therefore will be here for the season! Wish people would stop harping on about them signing now. At the start of the year we were told that all the players were signed on a season long loan with WFC having the option to sign them permantly at the end.

Zola has brilliant coaching staff behind him. If they feel the need for a tactical change they will do so.

The be-all and end-all for the Pozzo's is to get Waford into the Premiership. Everything else is secondary. They will do all they can to hold onto Vydra, and keep him at Watford, until the season's end. Then it all depends on where Watford will be next season, whether Vydra signs permanently or not. Unless someone places a ludicrously high offer, Vydra will stay the rest of the season, at least.
Just to clarify!

Stupid to run players into the ground when you have very able replacements available and we have plenty.
I just don't like wholesale adjustments in key area but with a fifty game season, some changes are essential.
