Reports in Italy claim the Hornets are set to sign two Genoa youngsters but the Watford Observer understands that is not the case.
A few websites and journalists in Italy claim 18-year-old defender Lorenzo Gallotti and 19-year-old midfielder Guido Bennati are set to join Watford.
However, we understand the Hornets' senior management, led by chief executive Scott Duxbury and technical director Gian Luca Nani, are not currently trying to bring the duo to the club.
It is unclear whether the Pozzos, who own Watford, Udinese and Granada, are attempting to sign the players for one of their three clubs.
The Pozzos have an impressive scouting network and regularly sign young players from across the world before assigning them to one of the sides.
