Watford confirmed the resignation of manager Jack Bray with the club struggling in the third division (South).
Bray went further by announcing his immediare retirement from the game, explaining that he felt that there was no place for his ideals "...in a system where money is the foremost consideration".
Bray had been the first Watford manager never to play for the club.
