St. James' Park was the venue for Watford's first FA Cup quarter-final.
A crowd of 57,879, the largest the club had performed in front of to that point, saw the home side record a comfortable victory, with a Jack Allen hat-trick contributing to a 5-0 scoreline.
Allen would score twice more in the final, in which United beat Arsenal 2-1.
