Watford recorded an emphatic victory over local rivals Luton Town at Vicarage Road, their first triumph in the derby fixture for more than a decade.
The Hornets came into the game on the back of a relatively poor run of three defeats in four games and were 2-1 down at one stage after Luther Blissett had provided an early lead.
Richard Jobson scored a fine equaliser shortly before half-time however, and the visitors were blown away by a second-half performance that saw further goals from Blissett, John Barnes and Nigel Callaghan cement a 5-2 victory.
The result left the visitors in severe relegation trouble.
