Cristian Battocchio will undergo a scan on the knee injury he suffered against Burnley tomorrow and the midfielder is one of four players ruled out of the Hornets' Championship clash with Leeds United.

The Italian Under-21 international was stretchered off after 43 minutes of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with the Clarets after he collided with Ben Mee.

He was taken straight to hospital and the Hornets’ doctor and club doctor and medical staff saw him after the match.

Battocchio was able to go home in a leg brace and on crutches buts definitely out of tomorrow’s game against Leeds.

Lloyd Doyley is unavailable due to an ankle injury and Park Chu-Young will also be missing as he continues to recover from a toe injury which is likely to keep him out for another couple of weeks.

Fernando Forestieri, who has been absent since the Hornets’ 2-1 defeat to Doncaster Rovers on March 11, has began jogging after a toe injury but isn’t ready to return.

Fitz Hall hasn’t featured for Watford since February but he played for 45 minutes in a friendly against Northampton last Tuesday.

His fitness continues to improve following an Achilles injury but the centre-back is unlikely to be risked against the Whites.

Leeds have claimed just one victory in their last 11 league games and currently sit 16th in the table.

Brian McDermott’s side have struggled on their travels since Christmas and have just won once in ten Championship away matches.

I hope things are not as bad as they looked. Atwood was a disgrace for not stopping play and then needing a discussion with Troy before he went over even when Anya had stopped playing and was doing his best to wave the physios on. BETTER THAT THE PHYSIOS RAN ONTO THE PITCH AND GOT BOOKED OR FINED. I also have to say that the paramedics were woeful in their response time and disorganisation.

if Fitz is fit then we must play him against leeds.
They murdered us in the 2nd half up there with the long ball
into Smith, and believe me he won everything in the air,and
they had us on toast for 45mins.

There is nobody I want to beat more than Leeds, filthy bastar*s,
mind you what a perfect marriage they now have with their new
owner, him and Bas have a great deal in common.
Fit AND proper person..............
.....what a joke the FA is

Don't care how we do it but please beat these sc**bags tomorrow. They were really gloating last April after the 1-2 defeat, so great to rub their noses in the dirt tomorrow..

The linesman was also totally incompetent. Him and Attwood complimented each other perfectly. Hope we can really turn it on, Deeny hatrick would be nice for screwing up ours. and Zola's summer last year

The comments made about Attwell tell me - he was nervous - he made a lot of wrong calls - he was indecisive - he was out of his depth.

5 years on he is still showing excellent credentials to be a ref in the Championship.

Why is this Park fella even still with us? Maybe he don't mind collecting all the balls up at the end of training.

As for him and Diakite wanting to go to the World Cup in Brazil, suggest they both start looking at the late deals on Expedia with the rest of us.
