Davide Faraoni’s time at Watford appears to have come to an end, with a move back to Italy seemingly inevitable for the wing-back.

The Hornets have not commented on Faraoni’s future but he has used his Twitter account to indicate he has moved back to Udinese, although the Italian club have yet to confirm a deal.

The 22-year-old is not part of Watford’s pre-season training camp in Udine and he has been linked with a transfer to Hellas Verona, Sassuolo and Palermo.

Faraoni joined Watford on a permanent basis last summer and went on to make 43 appearances for the club in all competitions last season, scoring four goals.

He started his career at Lazio before joining Inter Milan in July 2010. He spent two years with the club before moving to Udinese in 2012.

However, after just one season with the Little Zebras, he moved on to Vicarage Road.
