Troy Deeney will not feature for Watford against Boreham Wood this evening, despite being included on the initial squad list to face Ian Allinson's side.
Deeney has been subject of several bids from Premier League new-boys Leicester City and Burnley - all of which have been rejected by the club.
When asked, Watford refused to comment on why the striker had been left out of the squad.
In the absence of the Deeney, summer signing Matej Vydra leads the line for the Hornets, who again line up in a 4-3-3 formation.
