Hornets defender Essaid Belkalem is set to join Turkish side Trabzonspor on a one-year loan, the Watford Observer understands.
Belkalem was given extra time off due to his participation in the World Cup but he has not rejoined the Golden Boys squad this summer.
Head coach Beppe Sannino stated questions relating to his players’ futures need to be directed towards the club but did confirm this evening that Belkalem has not been training with Watford.
And we understand the 25-year-old’s Algeria manager at this summer’s World Cup, Vahid Halilhodzic, has agreed a one-year loan to take the centre back to his new club Trabzonspor.
The Hornets activated the option to make Belkalem’s loan move from Granada permanent early this year.
