Watford are still waiting for international clearance for new signing Juan Carlos Paredes but head coach Beppe Sannino insists the player is fully fit heading into the start of the Championship season.
Paredes joined the Golden Boys on a five-year contract from fellow Pozzo-owned club Granada on July 16, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year-old defender has been training with the Hornets since the switch was agreed but has not featured in any pre-season matches.
At the weekend Watford confirmed they were still waiting for some documentation relating to his international clearance.
Sannino said: “He played at the World Cup so he doesn’t need a lot of training. He is fit.
“Once he has the clearance, he will be ready to play.”
