The Watford Observer confirmed that the club had agreed a deal that would involve all home matches being committed to video tape for the first time, claiming that highlights of all matches would be selected and available to the board, their guests and the press for viewing within half-an-hour of the final whistle.
Manager Graham Taylor was cautious however, saying: "Obviously video will be shown to the players to illustrate certain points, but I'm not in favour of continually showing players their mistakes."
