Watford lost their final pre-season friendly 2-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Vicarage Road, Mel Eves grabbing both goals.

The evening saw the debut of the club's new electronic scoreboard, which distracted many of the 5,226 present from the fare on the pitch and would be an iconic part of the Vicarage Road experience for the next 15 years.
