Javier Acuna is returning to his native Paraguay after rejoining his first club on a permanent basis.

The 26-year-old has left Watford to join Club Olimpia Asuncion for an undisclosed fee.

Acuna moved to Vicarage Road on a three-year deal last summer having joined Udinese after his contract at Real Madrid expired.

Despite high expectations given his background, the striker made just six starts and a further six substitute appearances for the Hornets in all competitions, scoring his only goal in the Capital One Cup defeat against Norwich City.

Acuna subsequently left Vicarage Road in January to join Spanish outfit Osasuna on loan and he remained there until the end of last season.

So now the only two players without kit numbers are Iriney and Belkalem to my knowledge.

Although I'd hope some of Jakubiak, Mensah, Ikpeazu, Johnson, O'Nien and Byers will also go out on loan. Naturally the best loan deals are those with 24 hour return clauses if we need them to come back - but unless we have a plague of injuries I can't see us using them... And even if all the above did go out on loan we'd still have 11 home-growns in the squad.

didn't Belkalem go on loan to some Turkish team and didn't Irini leave on a permanent move at the end of the season?

Belkalem went on loan to Trabzonspor for the season. The ex Algeria coach Vahid Halihodzic is the coach there.

The only players without a number are Harry Kyprianou (who was registered with no. 40 last year), Iriney (who likely will be sold soon one would think) and Belkalem which isn't a surprise given he is out on loan.

I thought Belkalem was only 'set to join', rather than actually gone...

As for Iriney, I haven't heard anything about him - not saying that it definitely hasn't happened...

Do we need anymore midfielders - especially non British ones. We have to have At least nine British players in a match day squad. There will be a lot of unhappy players in the squad.

Don't really want to get involved in your petty argument and dont agree with people picking up on spelling or grammer on a forum, who cares as long as you are not personally offending anyone, after all often spellcheck changes things and they are missed before posting. I certainly don't proof read before posting.

Must admit though that I was so intrigued by your response that I Googled salesman of the year magazine, unfortunately Google is yet to hear about it. PMSL

This is at least the second time you have brought up your job and your inclusion in that magazine. Both times I have googled it and yet to find anything other than a spoof film. Are you a little bit loco?

On your point, Bonham played one match so doesn't count and Acuna wasn't that bad but didn't really make an impact. Hardly saw Brown either so not going to pass judgement. The likes of Nathan Ellington, Jamie Hand, David Perpetuini were nowhere near the quality of these guys. Or have you only been watching Watford for the last 2 years?

Salesman of the year 2013...I was stupid to go about it...but this a magazine that is issued in January every year, based on reports from company's and other sales managers across Europe... Don't want to go on anymore... Thanks[/p][/quote]This is at least the second time you have brought up your job and your inclusion in that magazine. 1234566789
