The Hornets are still looking to sign a home-grown midfielder on loan despite completing a temporary deal for Italian Gianni Munari this week.
Watford have signed ten players this summer, the latest of which is midfielder Munari who has penned a season-long loan from Parma.
Munari’s arrival means the Golden Boys currently have ten professionals on their books who are capable of playing in the centre of midfield.
With the extreme competition for places, we understand the arrival of another midfielder is likely to result in one of the more experienced midfielders leaving the club on loan.
In addition to a midfielder, the Hornets are still looking to add another home-grown goalkeeper to their squad.
