Matej Vydra is a doubt for Saturday's match with Leeds United but there is good news on two other Watford strikers.

Vydra suffered a dead leg during the 2-0 victory at Rotherham United and will be assessed tomorrow ahead of the Championship clash with Leeds.

But Swedish international Mathias Ranegie is fit again after a groin problem and young striker Uche Ikpeazu played 45 minutes during a reserve game with AFC Wimbledon today - which also saw Daniel Tozser and Odion Ighalo, plus the other players who did not feature against Rotherham, have a run-out.

Joel Ekstrand will be serving the second game of his three-match suspension and Craig Cathcart is still out with a knee injury.

Young striker Bernard Mensah is expected to be out for another ten days.

Perhaps! But let's not count our chickens.

After all, six goals could finish 3-3.

So the run out for those that didn't feature against Rotherham vindicates Sannino's team selection for that game. I like the way he seems to be planning ahead and picking formations based on what he expects the oppo to do.

May not be a bad idea for Vydra to sit this one out. For as many years as I can remember Leeds have tried to win by thuggery. Providing he can keep his temper I'd be inclined to play Ranegie as he can look after himself. Looking at the tackle (assault) Leeds' Pearce made on the Brighton forward (which led to Brighton's second goal) I don't think the match on Saturday will be for the faint hearted. Just hope we have a strong referee.
