A sliced clearance into his own net by Gabriel Tamas ensured Watford and Leeds United went into half-time level at Vicarage Road this afternoon.
Hornets head coach Beppe Sannino made four changes to his starting XI as Daniel Pudil, Daniel Tozser and Almen Abdi all returned, whilst Fernando Forestieri came in for Matej Vydra, who suffered a dead leg at Rotherham United on Tuesday night and was on the bench.
Sannino did not name Lloyd Dyer or Lewis McGugan in the 18-man squad.
Watford took the lead after 12 minutes when Fernando Forestieri headed in after his initial effort was saved.
But Leeds were more than a match for the Golden Boys and equalised just after the half-hour mark when Tamas sliced Billy Sharp’s cross into his own net.
Tommie Hoban should have put the Hornets back in front when he headed over when completely unmarked from an Abdi corner.
