Daniel Tozser’s Hungary secured their first win of their European Championship qualifying campaign last night while Ikechi Anya created a goal as Scotland drew with Poland.

Tozser played 73 minutes for Hungary, who clinched a narrow 1-0 win against the Faroe Islands in Group F, before being replaced by Zsolt Kalmar. Hoffenheim’s Adam Szalai struck to seal a narrow win.

Anya, who will be hoping the calf injury he has been managing during the international break will not rule him out of Saturday's trip to Sheffield Wednesday, played the full match and created a goal as Scotland claimed a 2-2 draw in Poland.

The Group D clash saw the hosts take the lead through Krzysztof Maczynski before Anya teed up Shaun Maloney for an 18th minute equaliser.

Steven Naismith then put the Scots in front in the second period before Arkadiusz Milik equalised to earn Poland a point.

Anya tweeted after the game.

Juan Carlos Paredes played 70 minutes for Ecuador last night in their 5-1 friendly victory against El Salvador.

Jonathan Bond was an unused substitute for England Under-21s as the Three Lions booked their place at next summer’s Under-21 European Championships with a 2-1 win in Croatia.

Josh Doherty was brought on in the 55th minute as Northern Ireland Under-19s ended their Under-19 European Championship qualifying campaign with a 3-0 win against the Faroe Islands.
