Watford hosted Stockport County in a third divison match at Vicarage Road.
The game finished 5-0 to the home side with the goals coming from Alec Farrall, Terry Garbett, Jimmy Lawton and a brace from Scottish winger Stewart Scullion.
The most memorable of these saw Scullion beat five Stockport players before being dispossessed by the visiting goalkeeper who bowled the ball out to his full-back. Scullion chased his opponent down, regained possession, and then beat another five opponents before this time finishing the job.
