Watford are odds on favourites to defeat Ian Holloway’s Millwall at Vicarage Road tomorrow.
The Hornets are unbeaten in eight matches although five of these have ended in draws. But Watford’s home record is impressive with four wins and no defeats in the Championship this season.
Millwall have only won once in the last two months, albeit this came in their last game against Cardiff City, which has left them 15th in the table. These are the type of games Watford need to win for automatic promotion and 10/11 with William Hill is more than fair.
But a better alternative might be to back the hosts to win by one goal at 13/5 with Ladbrokes and two goals at 9/2 with Paddy Power. Either of these results should return a bigger profit than simply taking them at odds on.
Matej Vydra has impressed for the Golden Boys recently with five goals in his last eight appearances and the Czech striker merits consideration at 7/4 with Betfred to score anytime.
Former Watford defender Danny Shittu scored last week for the Lions and the set-piece threat could be worth chancing to find the net as first goalscorer at 40/1 or anytime at 16/1 with Coral.
