Watford entertained reigning league champions Leeds United at Vicarage Road in the third round of the League Cup.
After a goalless first half, Steve Perryman's Hornets went ahead through a David Holdsworth header before Jason Drysdale converted a penalty in front of an ecstatic Vicarage Road end. Gary McAllister's fine goal provided a consolation for the visitors.
This was Eric Cantona's last game for Leeds before his surprise move to Old Trafford a fortnight later, and the last game played in front of a crammed Vicarage Road terrace.
