For the second game in succession it is not an easy choice deciding Watford’s man-of-the-match. That is simply because there were few standout displays for the Hornets during their 1-0 defeat at Ipswich Town.
Heurelho Gomes’ efforts deserved more at Portman Road. He made several important saves to keep his side level before eventually being beaten by Tommy Smith’s 83rd minute winner.
Daniel Pudil returned to the Hornets' starting XI and was solid if not spectacular. Matej Vydra did look threatening for the Hornets when they counter attacked while Fernando Forestieri worked hard throughout and came close to putting Watford in front in the second period.
