There are now only four players ahead of Lloyd Doyley on Watford’s all-time appearance list after the Hornets defender achieved another milestone on Saturday.
In being selected at left-back for the 2-1 defeat against Derby County at Vicarage Road, Doyley made his 442nd appearance in all competitions for Watford, moving him up to equal fifth on the club’s all-time list alongside Tommy Barnett.
The 31-year-old is now 15 appearances behind Duncan Welbourne, who is fourth on the list with 457, while the top three places are filled by Luther Blissett (503), Nigel Gibbs (491) and Gary Porter (472).
