Hornets supporter Roy Moore has been named the Sky Bet Championship Fan of the Month for November but he says the award is recognition for everyone involved in the 1881 Movement.

The 38-year-old created the Watford fan group during pre-season in 2013 in an attempt to improve the atmosphere inside Vicarage Road on match days.

The group has steadily grown since its inception and last month organised a 6,800 piece Remembrance Poppy mosaic in the Rookery stand, which was displayed through the minute’s silence against Millwall on November 1.

The Movement have also created a Watford legends banner which was displayed prior to the defeat against Cardiff City.

"I’m very proud to have won the award," Moore said. "It is nice to have recognition from the Championship for what we are doing but it is an award for everyone involved in the 1881, not just me.

"I’ve been a fan since the 1980, back then I had to stand on milkcrates to watch the game.

"That has obviously changed but it is not easy running the group. It takes up 90 per cent of my spare time but it is worth it. It has brought a lot of people together from all walks of life.

"Normally you would walk past these people in the street but we have all come together over Watford and have become friends."
