Watford have completed the signing of defender Vujadin Savic on a short-term deal until the end of the season, as the Watford Observer reported last Thursday.
Savic, who was released by Bordeaux last summer, played an hour for Watford’s Under-21 in the Premier League Under-21 Cup victory over Leeds United and had been training with the club.
The 24-year-old started his career at Red Star Belgrade but joined Bordeaux in 2010. He spent four years with the club but made just 11 first-team appearances before leaving the French side in the summer.
Born in Belgrade, the 6ft 4in Serbian has represented his country at Under-19 and Under-21 level, playing one match at the 2013 Under-21 European Championships in Israel.
Savic also appeared in the Europa League with Bordeaux least season - making his solitary appearance against Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
He is eligible to make his Watford debut against Blackpool at Vicarage Road tomorrow.
