Former Watford head coach Beppe Sannino returned to his old club on Saturday to watch the 3-0 defeat to Norwich City.
Sannino resigned as Golden Boys boss on August 31 after eight-and-a-half months in charge for what he described as "the benefit of me and the club".
The likeable Italian was in London and wanted to attend Saturday's game with Norwich so the club invited him into the directors' box.
The 57-year-old was also seen speaking to some of the Hornets players prior to the warm-up at Vicarage Road.
Sannino is currently out of work after resigning as head coach of Serie B side Catania after three months in charge.
