Two Watford loanees faced off against each other last night as Lewis McGugan’s Sheffield Wednesday took on Diego Fabbrini’s Millwall. Both players were on the scoresheet but it McGugan who was celebrating at full time.
The Owls recorded a 3-1 victory over the relegation threatened Lions. McGugan broke the deadlock with a neat finish from just inside the penalty area and further goals from Atdhe Nuhiu and Stevie May put the visitors to The Den in control.
Fabbrini’s goal came in the 92nd minute of the contest. The strike was no more than a consolation but it was the Italian’s first since joining Millwall on loan last month.
