Watford managed to battle back from two goals behind to defeat Leeds 3-2 at Elland Road yesterday. Matej Vydra netted a brace in the victory but was he the Golden Boys' man of the match?

The Hornets trailed the Whites after Billy Sharp and Rodolph Austin had both struck for the home side.

However, Troy Deeney scored six minutes before half time and Vydra’s double in the second period secured the Hornets three points.

Almen Abdi was deployed behind the two strikers for the second successive game and it is a position that suits the Swiss international perfectly.

He was able to find space and linked neatly with Deeney and Vydra, especially in the second period.

Gianni Munari played less than half of the match but he performed a vital role in helping Watford fight back in the second period.

He replaced Miguel Layun on 53 minute and was industrious across the pitch. He broke up several Leeds attacks and helped the Hornets keep the ball.

Deeney was again on the scoresheet and he took his goal well. The Golden Boys captain also created both of Vydra’s goals, the second assist was a fantastic 50-yard pass that split the Whites defence.

Vydra was handed the opportunity to partner Deeney following an injury to Watford's top scorer Odion Ighalo.

The Czech Republic striker took his chance with a brace and showed the increased work-rate that Slavisa Jokanovic has demanded.
