Watford have today confirmed Odion Ighalo is fit enough to be considered for the trip to Wigan Athletic tomorrow but influential midfielder Almen Abdi has been ruled out.

Ighalo, who has scored 14 goals in his last ten games, has been limited to just one substitute outing in the Hornets' last four fixtures due to a hamstring injury but today a club official stated Abdi and Sean Murray are the only two players unavailable for the trip to the DW Stadium.

Abdi was forced off with a hamstring injury at Wolverhampton Wanderers but returned for Saturday's 4-1 win over Reading.

The 28-year-old scored the first goal inside 60 seconds at Vicarage Road but had to go off in the seventh minute after injuring the hamstring on his other leg.

The club did not provide a potential time frame for the return of the midfield maestro.

Another of the Golden Boys' influential midfielders, Adlene Guedioura, also went off on Saturday as a precaution but, like Ighalo, has been deemed fit enough to be in contention tomorrow.

Head coach Slavisa Jokanovic confirmed today that Gianni Munari's absence from the squad on Saturday was due to selection and not injury, whilst Sean Murray remains a long-term absentee following knee surgery.
