Watford have been promoted to the Premier League after Norwich City and Middlesbrough failed to win this afternoon.
The Hornets’ 2-0 victory at Brighton meant Boro had to get at least a draw to give them hope of catching Watford and Norwich needed to beat Rotherham United.
But the Canaries could only manage a 1-1 draw at the New York Stadium and Middlesbrough were beaten 4-3 at Craven Cottage.
So Watford have returned to the top flight after an eight-year absence and they will be champions on Monday if Bournemouth fail to beat Bolton Wanderers.
