Watford wing-back Miguel Layun has been named in Mexico’s provisional 35-man squad for this summer’s Gold Cup.
The competition takes place from July 7 to July 29 and sees countries from North America, Central America and the Caribbean in action.
El Tri have been drawn in group C alongside Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago and Cuba.
Mexico will also compete in the Copa America in June but El Tri head coach Miguel Herrera only selected four European-based players for that tournament with the country's focus largely on the Gold Cup.
Layun has won 23 caps and scored three times for the Central American nation since making his debut in 2013.
