Watford wing-back Juan Carlos Paredes claims he has had offers from clubs in Spain but says he wants to remain with the Hornets.

The 27-year-old joined the Golden Boys last summer and went on to make 40 appearances last season as Watford secured promotion to the Premier League.

Paredes is currently training with Ecuador ahead of the country’s Copa America campaign - the competition begins next month – but has expressed his desire to remain with the Hornets next season.

"There are options of Spain but personally I want to stay there (Watford) because there is a good group, a strong team and good management,” Paredes told www.futbolizados.com.

“I always hear rumours but nothing is concrete, so I'm psyched to go back to the club and work.”
