Hornets defender Craig Cathcart has commited his long-term future to the Golden Boys by inking a four-year deal.
Cathcart joined Watford last summer on a two-year deal following his release by Blackpool. He made 117 appearances for the Tangerines over a four-year spell at the club.
Injury delayed his Watford debut until mid-September but the centre-back made an instant impact with an equalising goal in a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth.
The Northern Ireland international would go on to establish himself in the Golden Boys' backline following a number of impressive performances.
The 26-year-old, who started his career with Manchester United, went on to make 30 appearances in all competitions as the Hornets secured their place in the Premier League for the third time.
