Watford are having a double training session in Germany today following the cancellation of this evening’s friendly with Eintracht Braunschweig.

The friendly was called off last night for what the club described as “unforeseen circumstances” and fans who had travelled to the game have been invited to attend training tomorrow.

The players have been mixing double training sessions with other fitness work and skipper Troy Deeney told the club’s website: “It’s been tough, but this week is the last of the long-distance running.

“These sessions are needed. We have a little sleep and then in a few hours’ time, we get back out there and go again.”

Having beaten SC Verl 4-1 on Wednesday, what will now be the Hornets’ second friendly in Germany is due to take place on Sunday against SC Paderborn 07.

Watford Observer reporters Adam Newson and Tom Bodell will be at the Hornets' training camp tomorrow and Sunday’s friendly.
