Fernando Forestieri has returned to England with a hip injury, the Hornets have confirmed.
The forward did not play any part in Wednesday's 4-1 friendly win over amateur side SC Verl.
Forestieri has now flown back to England in order to get treatment for the problem, though it is not thought to be serious.
The Rosario-born attacker had been involved in each of Watford's first two pre-season friendlies in England. He has been utilised in a wide midfield role so far by Quique Sanchez Flores.
