Watford’s pre-season friendly against Dundee United is goalless at the half time interval but the Hornets have had the better of the chances at Tannadice Park.
New signing Jose Manuel Jurado has missed the best opportunity. The Spaniard directed an Ikechi Anya cross wide from six yards in the 18th minute.
Odion Ighalo then forced Dundee stopper Luis Zwick into a good save while Troy Deeney has also been thwarted by the hosts’ goalkeeper.
Ighalo has looked the most likely player to break the deadlock and the striker tested Zwick again late in the half. The German goalkeeper was again alert to deny the Nigerian.
