The Watford Observer understands there is no truth in reports linking the Hornets with a loan move for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.
The Italian international is out of favour at Anfield and is no longer training with the Reds’ first-team squad.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Merseyside throughout the summer and last night Sky Sport Italia stated Watford were planning a bid.
However, we have been told this morning - in no uncertain terms - those reports are completely false and that the Hornets hold no interest in Balotelli, who has previously played for Lumezzane, Inter Milan, Manchester City and AC Milan.
