Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores expects Ikechi Anya, Valon Behrami and Allan Nyom to be fit enough for Watford’s Premier League clash at home to Arsenal on Saturday but Jose Manuel Jurado will miss out.

Anya (calf), Behrami (calf) and Nyom (knee) were unable to play for their respective nations over the international break due to injury but Flores expects the trio to be fit in time to face Arsene Wenger’s men.

Speaking this afternoon he said: “They are training well. They had little problems at the start of last week.

“They decided to come back to the training ground for treatment and have made a good recovery. Now they are ready to go on the list.”

Spanish playmaker Jurado had featured in all of Watford’s first seven Premier League fixtures before missing the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth a fortnight ago.

Speaking after the draw against the Cherries, Flores said the 29-year-old would be out for three weeks.
However, Jurado posted an image on Twitter on Tuesday and said he would be out for “some weeks.”

Asked to clear up the former Schalke midfielder’s condition, Flores said: “He is good. He is recovering well.

“Maybe he will come back earlier than we expect. So the recovery of Jurado is really good. Maybe in a week-and-a-half he is going to be training with us.”

Swedish defender Joel Ekstrand (knee) and homegrown defender Tommie Hoban (groin) are Watford’s only long-term absentees ahead of the Gunners’ visit to Vicarage Road.

Juan Carlos Paredes, who has been on international duty with Ecuador during the last fortnight, is unlikely feature against the Gunners.

The full-back only returned to England this morning after playing twice for the South American nation during the international break.
