The referee who took charge of Watford’s first win in the Premier League this season will be back in the middle on Saturday when the Hornets face Manchester United.

Having officiated in the 1-0 victory over Swansea City in September, Bobby Madley will return to Vicarage Road as the Hornets take on Louis van Gaal’s side in front of the live BT Sport cameras.

Madley sent off Valon Behrami in the victory against the Swans for a challenge on Andre Ayew and he has also shown red cards in his last two Premier League matches.

He dismissed Fabricio Coloccini in Newcastle United’s 3-0 at Sunderland – a decision that was subsequently rescinded – and then showed red to Norwich City’s Russell Martin in the Canaries’ 2-1 defeat at Manchester City.

This will be the first time Madley has taken charge of a match involving United.
