Watford have completed their second deadline day signing and like Abdelouye Doucoure, Adalberto Penaranda's immediate future is with Granada.

The 18-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal from the Hornets' sister club but will be remaining on loan with the La Liga outfit. Reports in the Spanish media have suggested this may be until June next year.

A Venezuala Under-20 international, Penaranda is very highly regarded after becoming Granada's youngest-ever player in November 2015 and in December broke Lionel Messi's record of the youngest non-Spaniard to score a brace in La Liga with two goals against Levante.

Penaranda is reported to have a buy-out clause in his contract worth 20 million euros and as well having one eye on his future, the Pozzos may have opted to make him a Watford player to protect their investment and ensure he asn't able to leave for that figure.

A source in Spain has described the forward as a "marvellous prospect" and believes that if he continues to develop at the same rate it is likely he will attract interest from some of the top European clubs.

Penaranda made his name at Deportivo La Guaira in his homeland and he has so far scored four times in 13 appearances this season for Granada.

The signing of former French Under-21 international Doucoure, who will also spend the rest of this season on loan at the La Liga side, was confirmed earlier and you can read more about that deal here.
