Hornets defender Miguel Britos and attacking midfielder Jose Manuel Jurado are doubts for this Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round clash with Leeds United at Vicarage Road.

Both players missed the weekend victory over Crystal Palace due to a dead leg and a calf problem respectively.

Neither have trained this week but Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores told the press this morning that he expected the duo to take part in today’s session.

He said: “Britos suffered a hard kick against Tottenham. He had a dead leg so he couldn’t work. In the last few days he has improved a lot.

“Jurado had a little problem in his calf but they will both go to the training pitch today. They will train softly. We will see after that.”

Watford will be without Joel Ekstrand (hamstring) and Tommie Hoban (groin) who have yet to play for the first-team this season due to long-term injuries.

Leeds United, meanwhile, are hopeful of having striker Chris Wood available for the game.

The New Zealand international has played just twice since the turn of the year due to a hamstring problem but his fitness will be assessed today, according to United boss Steve Evans.

“He’s 50-50,” Evans told the Yorkshire Evening Post. “We’ve looked at it every two or three days and there’s been a marked improvement.

“We didn’t take a risk before but I got criticism for not starting him in a game (against Bristol City at Elland Road). We went to Brentford, introduced him from the start and it was disappointing to be missing him again.”
