Quique Sanchez Flores says he wants to enjoy their FA Cup semi-final this weekend and insists talking about his future at Watford is sad.

There has been speculation this week suggesting the Spaniard could leave Vicarage Road this summer after just one season as head coach.

After Wednesday's defeat to West Ham, Flores said it was important the board at Watford appreciated his work after leading the club to Premier League safety and their FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace at Wembley.

Flores, who is in his first season of a two-year contract, said: “I’m not going to talk about me. It’s time to talk about Watford. What is important is for the club is to see Watford playing at Wembley and it’s the moment to talk about that.

"I want to enjoy this experience and the last part of the season. I have a lot of reasons to do that and to talk about me is sad. It’s not the time to talk about me."

Supporters may be concerned by the possibility of the head coach leaving this summer but Flores has assured fans he is happy at the club and completely focused on their Wembley clash on Sunday.

“Watford fans need to know I am completely happy at Watford," he said.

"The only thing Watford fans need to know is that I am focused and completely happy here. When I’m completely happy I don’t need to show anymore.

“My future is completely happy because I have an amazing family and kids. I’m happy with my profession and completely happy with what we’re doing. I am completely happy with the Watford fans so my future is completely safe.

"It is not important in this conversation. The most important thing is this match against Crystal Palace."
